Hello and welcome to your community pre-school. I hope you can find all you need on our website and if not, please do not hesitate to contact me, or any of the staff for further information
Holiday club is great fun for those children transferring into school and for children in general, a school holiday is a long time not to see your friends.

Alongside the nursery BYE is a wraparound care provision offering affordable childcare before and after school.
Breakfast Club opens at 7.30 a.m. for children aged 3-11 years.

Registered charity :number : 1122021
Constable Country Childcare (C.C.C) is a quality childcare provider and registered charity incorporating St Michael’s Pre-school, Brooklands, East Bergholt and Stutton Young Explorers Childcare Provisions.
As a charity everything we do is in the best interest for the children in our care and not for profit.
The charity is overseen by five trustees who delegate the day to day running to a management committee.. The provision is strongly supported by the nearby St Michael’s Church, welcoming children and parents from all faiths and ethnicity.
Flexible hourly childcare
We offer the unique benefit of flexible childcare payable by the hour (or part thereof) at competitive prices to suit the needs of working families. We cater for working families, 2 year old funding, pre-school spaces and before and after school clubs.
All our staff team are highly qualified (apart from apprentices) and we have staff that are baby care specialists within the charity. Our baby care specialists know all about babies developmental needs, including brain development and breastfeeding.
Transition to School
We offer a 'transition to school' scheme to help all our pre-schoolers settle into their new environment before they start school each September. No matter what school they are due to go to, their key person takes them and their friends to meet their new teacher and to see their new environment before they start full time.
All our staff take time to get to know each child very well and work closely with parents to understand their routines so their time in the nursery is the same as at home. All our staff team our highly qualified and the handful who aren't are being trained to level 3 standard.
Home cooked lunches
We have a cook on site, Janette who provides freshly cooked balanced meals for the children on a daily basis. We have been given a 5* star food hygiene rating by the food standards agency in each of the settings.
Settling your child in
We also have a very effective settling in process to the Nurseries as we know how upsetting it can be for parents and children when leaving their child in a new environment for the first time. We offer free trials and home visits so both parents and children can prepare for leaving each other. Our nurseries also benefit from having an Early Years Professional overseeing the curriculum and planning to encourage the most from the children’s time here.
The whole child is considered important
Childhood is not just a preparation for adulthood and we endeavour to encourage independence and learning through play in a safe, secure and relaxed atmosphere.
We value each child as an individual and the choices they make. At the same time, no pressure is put on any child to participate unwillingly, although all carers will encourage children to achieve their full potential, being aware that each child’s development is unique.
We provide an attractive, stimulating, learning environment where all individuals are happy, cared for, respected and valued.
We also believe in celebrating success and developing individuals to be enthusiastic and motivated learners who are actively challenged and encouraged to develop and evaluate their own ideas and ways of thinking.
Our employees have been carefully selected with regard to their enthusiasm, experience and knowledge of childcare and education. We encourage all staff to undertake regular internal and external training to keep their skills up to date and encourage continued professional development.
DBS checks are carried out on all our paid staff and anyone involved directly with the children to check their suitability.
